When we think of Christianity, we don’t often think ‘meditation’ or ‘clairvoyance’ or even ‘health’. And yet (alternative) Christian teachers like Edgar Cayce and A Course in Miracles have focused on precisely those topics, among others. Both abstruse and relevant to our day-to-day lives.
I may call that alternative Christianity, but really, the Bible itself is sometimes just as relevant to our present-day lives. Meditation can be traced not only to the Bible, but also to early saints and the living meditation traditions of Greek (i.e. Russian) Christianity.
